Book Review:One night@the call center

Any other review about the book One night @ the call center that has been published anywhere under the sun & moon, if found even faintly similar to my review is purely co incidental.

I completed reading the second novel by Chetan Bhagat named One night@ the call center.Though i liked it but cant stop comparing it to his first novel which was called Five Point Someone. I somehow had a feeling that his style of writing is ,to an extent, stereotyped where in after reading a few pages, you have a feeling that the style of writing & the sense of humor involved in it is an extension of his first novel. However, Chetan Bhagat is without doubts an author who is fairly refreshing but the story this time seems to be not as convincing as it was in his first novel.
The story primarily has set of protagonists who are colleagues in a call center & in the midst of their otherwise mundane lives comes a night that does not change their lives per se but definitely changes their perspective towards life.
I would suggest to those who have read Chetan Bhagat's first novel to definitely read this one & send in their comments so that we can share our experiences in terms of comparison of both his n0vels & those who have no idea as to who Chetan Bhagat is, should also go in for this book as its priced only at Rs.95,so the cost factor is surely taken care off.

Hey Prithvi Dada!!

Cost Factor is not the consideration .. how do i get a hand on that book..will check for it on Amazon.com or maybe some of the bookstore here.. but i dont think i will find it .. i would love to read this book from Chetan Bhagat ..I really enjoyed the 5 point Someone.. However stereotyped one would call him .. i still feel that the 5 point someone was a good read.. Cant wait till i can get my hand on this book!!

Hey Prithvi Da,bony here.I also read the book.Although it was not as good as his previous effort but still was enjoyable I especially enjoyed the latter part. The initial part was quite a drag though. But at 95 bucks it's definitely value for money

I heard that the story of ON@CC was not as good as FPS, so did not buy it.

FPS is one of my all time fav book, you cud identify with each of the characters of the novel. Neha Cherian, is the dream girl for any engg student.

Half of you buggers have your spellings screwed and the other half have skewered their grammar.

How, then, would you expect me to believe that your critical evaluation of a book is, and here I use the word in it's widest possible sense, not bollocks?

It is evident that all the "lead characters" are both full of shit and themselves. Which might be a reflection of the author.

And with everybody bringing the price factor in - you get a roadside edition of "Tawny Loo and her Twenty Loony Friends" at a lower rate, and I'm sure it would be a more "refreshing" read.

But, like all others, I too cannot wait to get my hands on this book. Good source for toilet paper.
